Procurement Manager, IN Trans Procurement

The Procurement Manager will be part of the operations procurement team for Amazon's Middle Mile transportation requirements. This high-impact role involves significant contributions to our bottom line through technical and commercial innovation. Responsibilities include defining sourcing strategies, spend analysis, forming strategic partnerships, vendor development, contract negotiations, and working with the Operations team to manage transportation capacity flow. Key job responsibilities

1. Lead procurement for transportation contracts, managing multi-million dollar sourcing efforts.
2. Develop and implement sourcing strategies to achieve cost reductions.
3. Identify and develop carrier partners across categories, focusing on innovative and cost-saving collaborations.
4. Partner with cross-functional teams to develop commercial models and negotiate procurement agreements.
5. Establish and streamline systems and processes with Transportation teams.
6. Manage carriers to ensure service reliability and quality.
7. Develop metrics to measure operational readiness and procurement performance.
8. Build and optimize payment solutions and resolve carrier payment disputes.
9. Influence internal spending decisions and coordinate legal documentation as needed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree
• At least 2 years of experience working cross-functionally across multiple teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree
• Experience in the logistics industry is preferred
