Job Description- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimise cost efficiency and supplier performance.
- Work alongside public and private sector clients in supporting their procurement needs.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and negotiate contracts to ensure quality and value for the organisation.
- Manage supplier relationships, addressing any issues and ensuring compliance with agreements.
- Analyse market trends to identify opportunities for cost-saving and process improvements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement activities with business objectives.
- Monitor and report on procurement performance metrics and KPIs.
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies and procedures.
- Support the development of sustainable procurement practices where applicable.
A successful Procurement Consultant should have:
- Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management within the professional services and or public sector industry.
- Understanding of public sector regulations and practices is preferred but not essential.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to inform decision making.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management abilities.
- Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
- Knowledge of market trends and best practices in procurement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with suppliers and internal teams.
- A relevant qualification in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
