You'll be joining a large, region-wide public sector organisation delivering essential services across multiple departments. With significant annual expenditure and a complex supply chain, procurement plays a critical strategic role in ensuring value for money, compliance and continuous improvement.

About you
  • Bachelor's Degree (Level 6) with at least 2 years' procurement experience OR 5 years' procurement experience
  • Minimum 2 years' experience managing or supervising staff
  • At least 3 years' experience managing the full procurement and contract lifecycle
  • Experience delivering public procurement competitions in line with relevant regulations and policy guidance is essential
  • MCIPS qualified (or working towards)
  • Strong understanding of risk management, compliance and governance
  • Access to suitable transport to meet the mobility requirements of the role
What you'll do
  • Lead and implement category management strategies aligned to organisational objectives
  • Manage procurement pipelines and ensure timely delivery of tenders and contracts
  • Oversee contract management and supplier performance to maximise value
  • Build and manage stakeholder networks across departments
  • Drive compliance with procurement regulations and internal quality systems
  • Promote innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement within procurement
  • Provide expert procurement advice across the organisation
