I've partnered with a leading global chemical manufacturing company to recruit a Procurement Buyer. The Role

I'm looking to speak with detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Buyers to join their dynamic procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing across direct categories managing internal relationships with stakeholders, including logistics, factories, R&D and quality. You will lead internal projects and partner with the category manager to drive their category strategy. The ideal candidate will have strong influencing skills, a strategic mindset, and a commitment to compliance and sustainability within the supply chain. You'll play a key role in facilitating internal procurement projects and ensuring smooth coordination across departments-making this a vital position for internal efficiency rather than external commercial strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Internal Project Management: Support the execution of procurement initiatives, coordinating timelines and tasks within the company. Work closely with internal stakeholders to track project milestones and maintain alignment with procurement goals.
• Supplier Onboarding & Relationship Management: Manage supplier setup processes, ensuring all documentation, systems, and compliance requirements are in place. Act as a point of contact for routine supplier communications and updates.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between procurement and other internal departments including quality assurance, factory operations, compliance, and logistics. Support seamless integration of supplier activities with business operations.
• Systems & Tools Oversight: Utilize SAP and other internal procurement platforms to manage purchasing activities, update supplier data, and ensure transactional accuracy.
• Reporting & Presentation Support: Assist in preparing procurement reports and dashboards. Strong PowerPoint skills are beneficial, as you'll help present updates and findings to internal stakeholders.
• Compliance & Regulatory Coordination: Monitor and maintain compliance with corporate procurement policies and relevant regulations. Work with legal and regulatory teams to ensure suppliers meet internal standards.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Experience

• Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication is essential for coordinating across departments and managing supplier correspondence professionally.
• Willingness to Learn: We are not seeking a senior manager or highly experienced category expert. Instead, we value someone open to mentorship, growth, and long-term development within the procurement function.
• Organized & Detail-Oriented: The ideal candidate will have excellent administrative and organizational skills to manage multiple internal processes efficiently.
• Tech-Savvy: Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is preferred. Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP is advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in procurement, preferably in a structured, multinational or industrial environment.
• Spanish speaking is essential
