In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of a strategic procurement service, focusing on critical procurements (those with high value, risk, and complexity). You will also lead the development of procurement/sub-category plans in assigned spend areas.
You should be MCIPS qualified with experience working in public sector companies.
What you'll be doing:- Design and deliver procurement solutions that provide cashable savings and process efficiencies while improving outcomes for our residents.
- Provide commercial input into the development of medium to high risk/complexity business cases through research, data analysis, and market viability assessments.
- Lead the end-to-end tender process for assigned procurements, ensuring compliance with standards and practices.
- Support the promotion of compliant procurement and purchasing (P2P) processes and systems for the assigned areas.
- Make recommendations based on early engagement with suppliers and stakeholders, incorporating lessons learned from other relevant contracts.
- MCIPS qualification or a relevant Degree.
- Up-to-date knowledge of current public procurement legislation (PA 23).
- Detailed understanding of procurement, commissioning, and contract management lifecycle.
- Experience using procurement systems.
- Ability to support the tender process.
- Excellent contract negotiation skills.
