Procurement & Supply Chain Co-ordinator

We are delighted to be exclusively recruiting for a growing and ambitious organisation seeking to appoint a Procurement & Supply Chain co ordinator to play a key role within the business.
Based in East Cardiff, this growing organisation operates within a dynamic manufacturing environment and forms part of a wider successful group. As the business continues to scale, they are looking to attract a driven and commercially minded individual to take ownership of procurement and supply chain operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement professional who thrives in a hands on role and enjoys working within a growing SME. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring materials and services are sourced efficiently, cost effectively, and in line with business objectives, while also supporting the development of procurement strategy and operational processes.
Working closely with senior leadership, including the Sales Director, you will be instrumental in managing supplier relationships, overseeing logistics, and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain function.

The job- Oversee end to end procurement activity, including supplier management and contract negotiation
- Manage purchasing processes including raising purchase orders and stock control
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality and continuity of supply
- Monitor purchasing in line with company budgets and identify cost saving opportunities
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards through accurate documentation and record keeping
- Liaise with internal teams including Operations, Sales, and Production to align supply with demand
- Coordinate inbound materials and outbound logistics to meet production and delivery schedules
- Manage third party logistics providers and resolve delivery or transport issues
- Utilise ERP systems to track performance, maintain data accuracy, and identify improvements
- Support continuous improvement across procurement and supply chain processes
- Proven experience within procurement and supply chain, ideally within a manufacturing environment
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects
- Strong analytical and data management skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to work across teams and influence stakeholders
- Self motivated with a proactive and adaptable approach
- Strong understanding of inventory management, logistics coordination, and cost control
- Experience using ERP systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Salary £30,000 - £35,000
- Bonus (subject to agreed objectives and company performance)
