Procurement & Sourcing Operations Analyst, Specialist

About the RoleThe Sourcing Lead in Dublin, Ireland will start as a single person team and collaborate with other team members, clients, and suppliers both in region and remotely across the globe. The Lead will support, execute, and manage third party supply and demand requests, meeting regularly with key clients and suppliers and working with Financial Planning to link value capture back into P&Ls. The role reports directly to the Head of ESM for Vanguard's International Division and matures within the Dublin Finance Leadership Team.
Core Responsibilities Transactional Excellence- Lead and prepare low to medium complexity strategic sourcing transactions, negotiations, and supplier selections (including competitive bidding).
- Interface with other sourcing teams, business leaders, legal and risk partners for each transaction.
- Manage contracts and relationships for suppliers within categories such as Technology (including AI), Marketing, Human Resources, Professional Services, and Facilities.
- Communicate project status and issues regularly to stakeholders, including leaders and senior managers.
- Ensure that the Contract Advisory team receives documents in good order.
- Provide the Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) team with proper information for each transaction.
- Communicate contract requirements, obligations, and risk exposures to key stakeholders.
- Ensure proper closure of transactions, including accurate data and handoff to the business lead and supplier.
- Perform supply market data analysis and recommend suppliers to the business.
- Identify and stay knowledgeable of industry trends.
- Align category strategies with the organization's overall business strategy and funding/forecasting plans.
- Provide insights on best practices and common obstacles from prior experiences.
- Prepare and present analysis, findings, and potential solutions in a compelling, data driven narrative.
- Build and maintain effective relationships, proactively fostering communication between internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive engagements, resolve issues, and involve stakeholders as needed.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate risks and related issues.
- Communicate solutions on key issues to management and stakeholders to obtain input and buy in.
- Champion global procurement process adherence and support related training efforts.
- Educate key stakeholders on considerations supporting contract negotiation or supplier management processes.
- Ensure fair business practices and procurement of products and services at the best execution and price.
- Align individual time management with ESM's overall goals and key initiatives.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of three years related work experience, including contract negotiations and competitive RFQ/RFI/RFPs.
- Financial services and/or technology specific experience preferred.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Flexible work hours to collaborate with stakeholders across regions in different time zones (10-20% of the week).
- Strong communication and relationship management skills.
- Ability and willingness to proactively and escalates issues.
- Proven ability to work autonomously.
- Strong data analysis and reporting experience.
- Executive presentation skills preferred.
- Experience working with remote teams preferred.
Dublin, Ireland with up to 10% travel expected to other European locations, including London.
Work ScheduleHybrid - currently Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the office, with other days as requested.
