Location: Dalston, Cumbria
Salary up to £48,000 depending on experience + potential bonus + generous pension scheme + 12 flexible days on top of 25-day holiday entitlement + 2 paid volunteering days + other fantastic benefits!

We now have a fantastic opportunity for a talented, driven individual to join our Nestlé business at our Dalston factory as a Process Specialist. The role will report to the Area Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to support the site through change and progress your career.
The focus of your role will be to ensure the elements of manufacturing excellence are delivered with continuous drive for Zero. Also to deliver full compliance with process safety, develop detailed training programmes for the operational team and provide process expertise.
Nestlé Dalston Factory in Cumbria is the European Centre for cappuccino and creamers producing a range of beverage products. These are produced through a highly automated PLC controlled process plant and automated filling and packing lines. It is continually developing and expanding leading brands such as Nescafé, Aero Hot Chocolate and Coffee-mate. The factory is moving forward with continuous improvement principles and actively developing Lean/TPM processes so it's an exciting time to be involved.

- Deliver full compliance with process safety, develop detailed training programs for the operational team, and provide process expertise.
- Maintain high health and safety standards and ensure compliance with Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Develop training programs for process master craft, create operational standards what drives results.
- Ensure maximum quality performance targeting a Zero loss mindset and first-time right mindset.
- Lead, coach, and motivate a multi-skilled team to achieve individual and departmental goals.
- Promote continuous improvement in production and improve the quality of Operational Review meetings and Shift Handovers.
- Develop Nestlé problem-solving and troubleshooting tools and skills to ensure that all team members can identify root causes and take fast and effective responses to problems.
- Previous experience working in a technical and production environment.
- A background in an engineering capacity or role is desirable.
- A solid foundation of the coffee manufacturing process is desirable but not essential.
- A qualification in an engineering discipline (either mechanical or electrical) would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Experience as a Manufacturing Shift Manager or Manufacturing Asset Manager is desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to earn respect.
- Ability to see the bigger picture, prioritize, and challenge the status quo.
- Ability to implement new processes and lead initiatives.
