The EU Amazon Customer Excellence System team (ACES) is seeking an enthusiastic, data-driven, and technology-minded Process Owner to contribute to the improvement, growth, and fast-paced changes of the EU Operations network.

The EU ACES PSE (Process and Systems Engineering) team supports Fulfillment Center (FC) process improvement for Amazon customers. As the intermediary between operations and software teams, the team handles project execution, process maintenance, troubleshooting, and change management for new hardware and software deployments in FCs. Responsibilities include process setup, software and equipment standardization, and project rollout. The team aims to develop efficient and reliable systems to ensure timely and error-free customer shipments.

A successful candidate will collaborate with Process Owners and global Subject Matter Experts to design, develop, and execute project improvement plans and new product development initiatives.

This role requires up to 40% travel and is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Be the EU/UK Operations Customer Fulfillment network's subject matter expert for your process.
  2. Shape strategic goals by defining the technical vision and roadmap through analysis, prioritization, and planning.
  3. Draft compelling business proposals for senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  4. Manage multiple projects and workstreams, meeting challenging deadlines.
  5. Deliver cost savings, develop financial models, and report results with finance partners.
  6. Engage with cross-functional partners including software, FC Launch, Supply Chain, and EU FC leaders to facilitate ideation, planning, and execution.
  7. Create process standards and training materials in collaboration with Learning & Development.
  8. Work with EU ACES teams to define process standards and metrics aligned with operational needs.
  9. Build a knowledge-sharing network across global teams to implement best practices.

You will address complex, ambiguous problems, balancing short-term fixes with long-term solutions. Flexibility and adaptability are essential as you reassess priorities and solve critical issues. You will leverage your expertise to identify tactical and strategic opportunities with business partners both within and outside your organization.

About the team

The Amazon Customer Excellence Systems (ACES) team leads cross-functional technology and improvement projects, serving as a bridge between Amazon Technology and FC Operations. Our goal is to design autonomous systems that simplify decision-making and enhance operational control.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Math, Engineering, Science, or Business.
  • Experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects.
  • Deep understanding of Lean Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC, DMADV/DFSS).
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with analytical tools such as SQL, Tableau, or Microsoft Access.
  • Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and relationship-building skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's Degree or higher in Math, Engineering, Science, or Business.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification (Master Black Belt preferred).
  • Hands-on experience coaching continuous improvement and Lean Six Sigma.
  • Experience fostering process excellence in large organizations.
  • Process and compliance auditing expertise.
  • Knowledge of modern machine learning techniques.
  • Experience collaborating with technology and software teams.
