Probation Services Officer (Court Team)

Location: Guildford Magistrates' & County Court- Laundry Road, Guildford, GU1 4PS

Pay Rate:

• £17.44 per hour PAYE
• £22.89 per hour Umbrella

Contract: Temporary 3 months, with the possibility of extension

Red Snapper Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of the Probation Service for an experienced Probation Services Officer to support the Court Team based at Guildford Magistrates' and County Court. Need to be able to attend site although hybrid would be considered.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PSO with previous court experience to work within a busy court environment, preparing reports and supporting sentencing decisions.

Duties include:

• Preparing court reports and sentencing recommendations.
• Interviewing defendants and completing risk assessments.
• Liaising with Magistrates, Legal Advisers, CPS and partner agencies.
• Maintaining accurate records using probation systems.
• Managing competing court deadlines within a fast-paced environment.

Essential requirements:

• Previous experience working within a Probation Court Team.
• Experience writing court reports.
• Knowledge of OASys and NDelius.
• Experience with Common Platform and PACFS is highly desirable.
• Experience using CVP would be advantageous.
• Strong communication and report writing skills.

This is a temporary opportunity with the potential to be extended for the right candidate.

It is subject to pre-employment checks and probation Enhanced level 1 vetting.
