Private Wealth Management (PWM) secures, develops and manages relationships with ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWI), their families, family offices and foundations across the globe. PWM assists clients with building and preserving their financial wealth by working with them to develop comprehensive financial plans, creating and implementing customized investment portfolios within the context of each client's particular risk tolerance, and providing access to innovative investment ideas and opportunities.

PWM professionals also offer a full array of additional wealth management services, including trade structuring and execution, private banking and liability management advice, fiduciary trust services (US only), administrative support typically provided by family offices and access to a curated network of specialty service providers.

YOUR IMPACT

As a Tax Product Specialist, you will work with front office teams in Asset & Wealth Management to support on tax considerations impacting transactions, fund platforms, structured products, and financing initiatives. You will help shape the design, implementation and governance across a range of products offered to clients of Goldman Sachs Asset & Wealth Management. This is an ideal role for a technically strong tax professional with commercial acumen, an interest in structuring, and the ability to operate in a fast paced, multi stakeholder environment.

Role responsibilities
  • Support front office trading, structuring and investing teams on tax considerations for products and investment strategies.
  • Support AWM fund and product teams on tax requirements for retail and alternative fund platforms.
  • Develop tax considerations for new product launches and enhancements.
  • Assist in the design and execution of tax efficient transaction and funding structures.
  • Prepare approval memos, structural models, and transaction documentation.
  • Coordinate with external advisers and internal stakeholders.
  • Support on operational tax matters including SDRT, CRS, FATCA and Tax Reports.
  • Partner across tax, legal, compliance, operations and finance teams.
  • Support P&L management and develop internal tax/structuring frameworks.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Professionally qualified (ACA/CTA/ACCA or UK qualified lawyer).
  • At least 3-5 years post qualification tax experience in financial services or transaction tax.
  • Strong UK tax technical skills with cross border experience.
  • Experience with operational taxes or fund structuring beneficial.
  • Strong analytical, modelling, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced, high pressure environment.
