Private Client Solicitor - Leeds The Opportunity

A highly regarded full service practice in Leeds is looking to strengthen its team with the addition of an experienced solicitor. The team is consistently recognised by the legal directories and is one of the largest and most established private client groups in the regions, handling complex, high-value work for a sophisticated client base.

You will join a collaborative, well-resourced department with genuine depth of expertise, strong partner support and a reputation for technical excellence across the full spectrum of private client matters.

The Role

Working closely with partners and senior fee earners, you will have responsibility for a broad and high-quality private client caseload, including:

  • Managing your own files across a wide range of private client matters
  • Trust administration, including preparation of annual trust accounts and liaison with trustees and beneficiaries
  • Working with stockbrokers in relation to trust assets and distributions
  • Estate administration, including taxable estates, wills and intestacy matters
  • Drafting wills tailored to complex personal and tax planning requirements
  • Advising on inheritance tax and completing personal and trust tax returns, either directly or in conjunction with accountants

This is a role offering real autonomy, client contact and the opportunity to work on technically challenging matters from an early stage.

About You
  • A qualified Private Client Solicitor with at least 3 years' post-qualification experience
  • Strong technical grounding across trusts, estates and succession planning
  • Comfortable handling high-value, complex matters and dealing directly with clients
What's on Offer
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package
  • Clear progression and development opportunities within a national platform
  • Hybrid working and a supportive, collegiate team culture
  • Exposure to high-quality work typically associated with top-tier private client practices

The firm is committed to equal opportunities and welcomes applications from all suitably qualified candidates.
