Private Client Solicitor

A well-established and highly regarded law firm near Brighton is seeking a talented Private Client Solicitor (2-5 years PQE) to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional with solid experience in private client matters who is looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive, reputable practice known for its high quality work and strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a varied caseload of private client matters, including Wills, Trusts, LPAs, Probate, Estate Administration, Tax and Succession Planning
• Drafting Wills, Trust documents, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and other legal documentation
• Advising clients on inheritance tax, estate planning, and asset protection
• Handling the full probate process, including obtaining grants of representation and administering estates
• Preparing and registering LPAs with the Office of the Public Guardian
• Providing clear, empathetic, and professional legal advice to individuals and families
• Managing client relationships and maintaining a high standard of client care
• Liaising with third parties such as financial advisers, accountants, and HMRC
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures
• Contributing to business development activities and the continued growth of the department

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• 2-5 years' PQE working in a UK private client department
• Strong knowledge of Wills, Probate, LPAs, Trusts, and Tax Planning
• Excellent client care and communication skills
• Ability to supervision
• A proactive and professional approach
