Privacy Officer - Oxford (Hybrid)

A fantastic opportunity has opened for a Privacy Officer to play a key role in maintaining and strengthening a growing Privacy Information System within a large, exciting and reputable organisation. The Opportunity
You will support the delivery of data protection initiatives, ensure compliance with UK and international privacy laws, and become a trusted advisor to teams across the business. This is the perfect next step for someone who enjoys combining detailed operational work with broader stakeholder engagement.
What You'll Do
- Maintain and enhance privacy governance, policies, and documentation
- Conduct DPIAs, LIAs and TRAs, ensuring risks are managed effectively
- Support data incident investigations and escalate issues when needed
- Keep ROPAs updated in line with GDPR Article 30
- Act as the privacy lead for allocated divisions and major projects
- Assist with SARs, FOI requests, and other data subject rights
- Contribute to DP awareness campaigns and mandatory training
- Help optimise privacy management software and workflows
What You'll Bring
Essential:
- Strong understanding of UK/EU and global privacy laws
- Experience in privacy programmes or DP projects
- Confident stakeholder communication and documentation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
Desirable:
- Experience in large or matrix organisations
- Exposure to data breach investigation
- Professional privacy certification - CIPP/E or similar certification
