My client is a specialist civil engineering consultancy delivering cutting-edge tunnelling and microtunnelling solutions across the UK and internationally. They are seeking a driven Tunnelling/Microtunnelling Design Engineer to join their talented Leeds-based team.

You'll work on a variety of underground construction projects - including microtunnelling, HDD, pipe jacking, timber headings, and shaft design - with a focus on geotechnical-structural design and third-party approvals.

This is a unique opportunity for an engineer with 3-8 years' experience to join a dynamic, high-calibre team, contribute to technically challenging projects, and grow toward chartership with full support.

Ideal candidate profile:

• Background in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering (BSc/MSc)

• Strong understanding of geotechnical design and tunnel-ground interaction

• Experience with tunnelling methods: Microtunnelling, HDD, Pipe Ramming, etc.

• Excellent report writing and communication skills

• Enthusiastic, hardworking, and collaborative
