About the Role

Join a leading engineering design consultancy delivering structural, civil, and multidisciplinary engineering services across sectors such as Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Rail, and Water. Based in Manchester, this established team supports a diverse range of complex infrastructure projects within regulated environments.

This senior technical leadership role involves taking full ownership of structural design delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver high-quality structural design solutions
• Produce and review calculations, reports, specifications, and drawings
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers and technicians
• Ensure designs comply with industry, client, and professional standards
• Support multidisciplinary coordination and manage construction-stage technical queries
• Attend and lead design reviews, technical meetings, and client presentations

Qualifications / Requirements

• Significant experience in structural design
• Strong background in reinforced concrete and foundation design
• Degree, HND, or equivalent experience (from technician level)
• Chartered Engineer status or working toward chartered status
• Proven ability to lead design delivery and support junior team members
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and buildability considerations
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to attend sites (desirable)
