Principal Street Lighting Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of street lighting systems
• Conducting technical assessments and ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations
• Managing projects from inception through to completion, delivering within budget and on time
• Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including local authorities and contractors
• Preparing detailed technical reports and documentation
• Providing expert guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members
• Undertaking site inspections and audits to ensure the quality and safety of street lighting installations
• Implementing sustainable and energy-efficient lighting solutions

Job Requirements:

• Experience in street lighting engineering within the highways sector
• Strong understanding of street lighting design principles and relevant regulatory standards
• Proficiency in using design and analysis software
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with various stakeholders
• Ability to provide technical mentorship and support to team members
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety
• Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience
