We are seeking a Principal Solution Architect to join our Broadband team as the overall design authority for Content Delivery Network (CDN) and Edge Compute solutions across BT, EE, and Plusnet's broadband and mobile services. As a senior technical leader, you will drive the development and delivery of a pan-BT strategy for edge compute and content delivery, collaborating with Customer Facing Units and strategic partners to:

• Create innovative services for customers and partners
• Develop and expand revenue streams
• Enhance customer experience
• Simplify and consolidate CDN and edge compute functions
• Deliver strategic transformation using cloud technologies and agile methodologies

With the surge in TV delivery across our network, we seek someone with significant CDN design expertise to help co-create solutions with content partners and deliver excellent customer experiences. The convergence of CDN and edge compute capabilities is also a focus, requiring experience in both domains to support new services and enhance performance at the edge.

You will bring thought leadership, shape strategy, and share your expertise across teams. A background in TV and content distribution technologies, combined with a passion for innovation, is essential to help us build the future of content delivery.

• Develop and deliver strategies for complex, high-impact opportunities supporting BT Group goals.
• Create and implement cross-domain technical solutions for CDN and Edge compute.
• Architect, design, and oversee implementation of CDN and edge compute solutions for BT's strategic partners.
• Utilize industry insights and emerging technologies, understanding their impacts.
• Ensure solutions align with BT's commercial, technical, and strategic objectives.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge sharing across BT Group.
• Consult on end-to-end technical solutions in CDN and edge compute domains.
• Redefine standards of practice within CDN and edge compute, continuously improving ways of working.
• Lead or contribute to projects outside of core areas, demonstrating adaptability.

• Ability to design and develop complex solution architectures, often introducing innovative technologies.
• Expertise in software development, IP networking, cloud infrastructure, broadband, mobile, and TV distribution.
• Proven experience in end-to-end solution architecture for CDN and edge compute capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with on-premise and public cloud deployments.
• Track record of delivering large-scale, customer-facing service solutions.
• Alignment of technical and project delivery with business strategy.
• Decision-making skills in ambiguous situations.
• Experience in strategy development and thought leadership.
• Leadership experience within complex network environments.
• Proficiency in agile methodologies.

Desirable (not essential):

• Certified Product Owner with relevant product management experience.
• Background in media production/distribution technologies.
• Senior technical leadership experience in service providers, hyperscalers, or media organizations.
