A specialist Flood Risk and Drainage Consultancy is looking to appoint a Principal Consultant to join its growing team in Reading.

This is a senior position for an experienced Flood Risk professional looking to take on greater responsibility across technical delivery, project management and client relationships.

The role will include:

• Leading the delivery of Flood Risk Assessments, drainage strategies and flood risk appraisals
• Undertaking and reviewing flood risk modelling and technical assessments
• Developing Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) strategies
• Managing projects from inception through to completion, including budgets and programmes
• Providing technical guidance and reviewing the work of junior team members
• Liaising with clients, Local Authorities, the Environment Agency and other stakeholders
• Developing and maintaining client relationships
• Supporting the continued growth and development of the Flood Risk team

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flood risk and drainage, with experience delivering projects within a consultancy environment. You will be confident managing projects independently, communicating with clients and providing technical direction to more junior members of the team.

Experience with TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, InfoDrainage/MicroDrainage and GIS would be beneficial.
