Principal Docks Engineer

Principal Docks Engineer Paying £350.86 per day ref

Full-time hours on a temporary basis

1. Develop and implement a long-term strategic plan for harbour repairs and infrastructure investment.
2. Lead the Engineering function within the City Docks, ensuring all infrastructure is maintained to the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and effectiveness.
3. Provide expert guidance on all engineering and dredging matters, offering strategic direction and practical solutions.
4. Oversee compliance with Health & Safety regulations, EMAS, and ISO 14001 environmental standards.
5. Manage and deliver all programmed engineering works in line with the Harbour Act/Order, Byelaws, and Council policies.
6. Lead the planning, budgeting, and execution of all Capital Programmes within the Docks Engineering Team.
7. Inspire and develop a high-performing team of engineers and technical staff.
