Overview

You will take ownership of projects from concept through to construction, guide junior engineers and ensure the delivery of sustainable, technically robust solutions.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing a civil engineering design team delivering drainage, highways and external works schemes
• Overseeing projects from pre-application through planning, detailed design and condition discharge
• Designing and reviewing drainage systems in line with Sewers for Adoption, Building Regulations and the SuDS Manual
• Delivering on- and off-site highway works including S278 and S38 schemes to relevant standards
• Managing team resources, reviewing drawings and reports, and maintaining quality outputs
• Mentoring engineers working towards professional accreditation
• Preparing fee proposals and managing project budgets
• Attending client meetings and site visits, building strong working relationships
• Managing design risk and embedding health, safety and sustainability principles

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status, or be working towards CEng
• A degree or HND in Civil Engineering
• Strong experience in drainage, highways and infrastructure design
• Team leadership and project management experience
• Experience working with developers, architects and local authorities
• Commercial awareness and fee proposal experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Site 3D (or equivalent)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Salary

£58,000 - £68,000 dependent on experience.
