Principal CE&I Engineer (Protection)

Contractor (PAYE). Hybrid (telework possible). 12 months. Inside IR35. Reference: 2608. Location: Hinton House, Birchwood Park, Risley (Hybrid).

Job Purpose / Overview

Power systems & protection engineering working within the Sellafield Infrastructure Strategic Alliance CE&I design team. The work will be directly linked to the Sellafield Electrical Distribution Network Upgrade Project.

Role Description

• Creation and updating of the project's working ETAP model.
• Production of fault calculations.

Profile

• Working knowledge of BS EN 60909 fault calculations.
• Working knowledge of power distribution modelling software.
• Experience with protection and control systems (11kV & 400V).
• Experience with Sellafield design processes.
• Experience with other CAD tools namely Trimble, ERACs and Digsilent.
• Experience with IEC61850 and power systems SCADAs.
• Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership with relevant discipline.

BPSS Clearance

BPSS clearance will be required at basic level. Prior clearance will not be transferrable.
