Principal - Real World Evidence
Location - London or Winchester with hybrid working in line with departmental in-office requirements (Tuesday is a regular in-office team day, currently a minimum 40% in office requirement)
In 2020 LCP launched our Heath practice, providing analytical and research services for organisations across the life sciences and healthcare industries. Our team brings together clinicians, statisticians, epidemiologists, health economists, bioinformaticians and health data scientists alongside our established actuarial, analytics and technology teams to deliver new solutions for the fundamental challenges in health. Our team's mission is to help move health systems from importers of illness to exporters of health and to support our clients to deliver value to patients. We have already developed a track record for leading approaches to real world evidence generation, health economic modelling and market access strategy.
We have been growing the team quickly in response to the demand we are seeing for the innovative service offerings we have developed, and are looking for a Principal in Real World Evidence to join the leadership team of our Health practice. Our real world evidence services span the medicines development lifecycle including clinical phase RWE, payer evidence, drug safety and post launch RWE.
ResponsibilitiesWhat will you be doing?
As a Principal in Real World Evidence, you will bring deep subject matter expertise (e.g. in epidemiology, statistics, health data science) alongside excellent people leadership and client engagement skills. This is a senior role and you will be part of the leadership team, helping to develop new service offerings, and providing support to the growing team. Your key areas of responsibilities will be as follows.
- Delivering excellent client service in RWE by:
- Leading on the delivery of client projects including being the primary contact for client management and being accountable for efficient project delivery
- Providing scientific and technical leadership in the conceptualisation and delivery of real world evidence studies
- Acting as a Subject Matter Expert in RWE on projects and engagements across the breadth of LCP Health
Driving the business forward with prospect development by:
- Leading on developing proposals and progressing client opportunities
- Generating new opportunities through early engagement with prospects
- Supporting the extension of the capabilities of the current RWE offering according to your expertise and track record
- Contributing to the development of LCP Health's sector presence through thought leadership
Culture and People Development:
- As a member of the RWE leadership team, you will actively contribute to the development of the team, including training and coaching
- Contributing to the management of the RWE team, including taking on specific leadership roles which may include some of resourcing, strategy implementation, QMA, training and development and/or team operations
What experience, skills and qualities are we looking for?
- Significant, demonstrable (likely to be more than 10 years) experience in the life sciences or consulting/CRO industries and a track record of leading multiple RWE studies
- A track record of leading teams in delivering innovative work in a fast-paced environment
- A relevant Masters, PhD or MD in a relevant subject (e.g. Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Data Science)
- Expertise in real world evidence with a desire to apply quantitative skills and rigorous science to solving real-world problems in health
- Extensive experience in working with global real world health data sources for health research
- An excellent track record in successful business development
- A commitment to providing excellent service to our clients and be experienced in leading consulting engagements
- Excellent communication skills, confident, have good presentation skills and be able to explain complex issues to others
- Initiative and creativity
- An understanding and appreciation that a consultancy environment will sometimes mean going the extra mile to meet client deadlines
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate your work and the work of a multi-disciplinary team, regularly multi-tasking across client projects and the development and coordination of less experienced team members
