While we are currently recruiting for this Primary Teaching Assistant position, we also encourage HLTAs, Cover Supervisors, and Teachers in the Feltham area to get in touch regarding upcoming roles.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with the Class Teacher to deliver high-quality, engaging lessons.
  • Leading small group interventions to boost progress in literacy and numeracy.
  • Providing tailored 1:1 support for pupils with EHC Plans or additional learning needs.
  • Preparing classroom resources and contributing to creative wall displays.
  • Fostering an inclusive and positive atmosphere for all learners.
  • Assisting with the supervision of students during breaktimes and off-site trips.

Essential Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience supporting children within a primary school or a similar educational setting.
  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grades 9-4/A -C) including English and Maths.
  • A proactive, patient, and resilient nature when supporting student development.
  • A DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to undergo a new enhanced check).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • A Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning is preferred but not essential.
