Are you a passionate Primary Teacher with experience supporting pupils who need additional help to reach their potential? Connex Education is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Intervention Teachers to support schools across the Radstock area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working with pupils in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, helping to close learning gaps and build confidence. We have a range of flexible and longer-term opportunities available, allowing you to use your teaching experience in a focused intervention setting.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver targeted interventions across primary year groups.
- Support pupils to close learning gaps.
- Work with individuals and small groups.
- Focus on areas such as literacy and numeracy.
- Assess pupil needs and monitor progress.
- Adapt activities to suit individual learners.
- Build pupils' confidence and engagement.
- Create a positive learning environment.
- Work closely with class teachers and support staff.
- Record and monitor pupil progress.
- Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing.
- Follow safeguarding and school policies.

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Primary teaching experience.
- Experience delivering interventions is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
- Good understanding of assessment and pupil progress.
- Confident working one-to-one and in small groups.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Patient, adaptable and encouraging approach.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
- Commitment to inclusion and safeguarding.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
- Right to work in the UK.
