Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)

Are you a passionate and dedicated educator with a strong commitment to inclusive education? A vibrant and inclusive primary school in the heart of Islington is seeking a Class Teacher with SENCO responsibilities to join their dynamic team from September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or an aspiring SENCO looking to take the next step in their career. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the learning experiences of all pupils, particularly those with additional needs, ensuring every child thrives.
Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching to a class of enthusiastic learners.
  • Lead and manage the provision for pupils with SEND across the school.
  • Work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement effective support strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of interventions and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion and high expectations for all.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential.
  • National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to work towards it).
  • Proven experience in teaching and supporting pupils with SEND.
  • Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • A nurturing, reflective, and resilient approach to teaching and learning.
