Primary ASc Teaching Assistant

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and additional learning needs?

Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a dedicated ASC Primary School Teaching Assistant to join a highly supportive specialist school in the Portsmouth area.

Experienced Teaching Assistants with a background in autism support, special educational needs, or primary education are encouraged to apply.

The Role

• Location: Portsmouth
• Position: SEND Autism Spectrum Condition (ASc) Primary TA
• Start date: ASAP
• Duration / Likely Duration: Ongoing
• Contract type: Long term
• Full time/part time: Full time
• Minimum rate of pay: £140 per day
• Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm

Experience and Training

• Teaching Assistant qualification (preferable but not essential)
• Previous experience working in a UK School
• Experience working with children in education or in a similar setting
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as training can be provided)

To Be Eligible, You Must

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional, child-related references
