We're recruiting for two Pre-Construction Design Managers to join OCS, with opportunities available nationwide.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the end-to-end pre-construction process across multiple projects.
- Review design information and complete scope-gap analysis to identify risks and omissions.
- Liaise with, manage and provide direction to external design teams.
- Ensure all statutory obligations and approvals are identified and progressed.
- Work closely with estimating and commercial teams to develop a positive commercial strategy.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with external designers and key project stakeholders.
- Strong technical knowledge across construction, including design-and-build projects.
- Excellent understanding of construction and building-services coordination and interfaces.
- Knowledge of the bid process, from pre-qualification and tender through to construction.
- Working knowledge of the RIBA Plan of Work and associated design stages.
- Relevant professional background or qualification in interior design, interior architecture, architectural technology, architecture, or mechanical/electrical design engineering.
- Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder-management skills
