Power BI Specialist

Overview

Power BI Specialist - Outside IR35, 3-month contract (likely extension) on site in Manchester, 3 days per week. Applicants must have their own Ltd company and live within a commutable distance to Manchester.

We are working with a highly regarded consultancy partner who are looking to appoint a talented Power BI Specialist to support their team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business that supports a diverse client base across multiple sectors, providing innovative IT solutions and data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models for client accounts.
• Translate business requirements into effective BI solutions.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance across reporting environments.
• Work with IT teams to connect Power BI to a range of systems and data sources.
• Optimise queries and models for performance and scalability.
• Provide clients with best practice guidance and training where required.
• Keep up to date with Power BI developments and the wider Microsoft ecosystem.

Key Experience Needed

• Proven experience as a Power BI SME (4-5 years).
• Advanced knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and data modelling.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases and APIs.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• A consultative approach with the ability to build trusted client relationships.
• Familiarity with Power Apps would be beneficial.
