Power BI Developer

London/Hybrid

£60k-£65k + bonus + benefits

Power BI Developer is sought for a leading Financial Services organisation within a newly strengthened Business Applications function based in London.

This is a great opportunity to join a high-performing, data-driven environment where Business Intelligence plays a key role in strategic decision-making. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders across the business and technology teams, designing and delivering high-quality reporting and analytics solutions that really get used.

The role

As a Power BI Developer, you'll be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimising dashboards, reports, and datasets that enable clear, accurate insight across the organisation. You'll balance business needs with technical best practice, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in BI.

Key responsibilities:

  • Partnering with stakeholders to gather and translate reporting and analytics requirements
  • Designing robust data models and transformations to support scalable reporting
  • Developing intuitive, visually compelling Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Integrating data from multiple sources and managing refresh schedules
  • Implementing data governance, including role- and row-level security
  • Monitoring and improving performance of reports and datasets
  • Producing clear documentation and supporting end users with training and guidance
  • Collaborating with cross-functional business and IT teams across locations

Ket Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar BI/reporting role
  • Strong Power BI Desktop and Service experience
  • Solid understanding of data modelling and DAX
  • Experience with SQL, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts
  • Strong data visualisation and report design skills
  • Background in financial services or a regulated environment preferred
  • Confident communicator, comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels
  • Pragmatic, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a complex, fast-paced environment
