Shift Pattern

21.5 hours - various days: (one shift) & (two shifts); weekend requirements; occasional late night finish if functions are on.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes by hand or load the dishwasher.
• Store clean items neatly and safely to minimise breakages.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors to keep them free of grease or spillage.
• Wash worktables, walls, kitchen equipment and appliances according to cleaning schedules.
• Operate kitchen equipment and transfer items safely between storage and work areas.
• Keep the kitchen tidy, secure, remove rubbish and put supplies away in the correct place.
• Adhere to company Food Safety and Health and Safety policies at all times.
• Maintain records as outlined in the HACCP policy.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Health and Safety and knowledge of maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment.
• Current CIEH Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or equivalent).
• Previous experience in a catering department or kitchen.
• Ideally experience working in a care environment, stock control and basic meal preparation.
• Organised and adaptable, able to work well within a team and independently.
