Applications are invited for the following position:

Title of Post: Post Doctoral Researcher (Level 1) Tourism Policy Data Analysis and Dashboard Development

JOB SYNOPSIS

The Post Doctoral Researcher appointed will be directed by the Principal Investigator - Professor Jim Deegan to undertake research at 7 tourism sites In County Clare to (a) Estimate the number of arrivals from the ticketing systems and to profile by demographic grouping such as Nationality/Age/Party Composition etc. (b) Design appropriate profiling questionnaires for the 7 sites, taking in to account the particular characteristics of each site; (c) Develop appropriate Wi Fi design questions that can be adopted and integrated to the triangulation of visitor profiling; (d) Develop a workable dashboard for each site once the various data exercises have been accomplished ;(e) Integrate the various dashboards in to on overall dashboard for the 7 tourism sites and (f) The researcher will also be integral to the production and development of a Tourism Barometer for the Cliffs of Moher Experience(Quarterly from late 2027) and latterly for the other 6 sites. By end of the project, it is hoped that an integrated tourism barometer for all 7 sites can be an achieved, but this will be subject to successful dashboard development at all 7 sites.
