Location: Head Office - Balham or Ealing and working from home (hybrid)

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our well-established and supportive Specialist Support Team to make a real difference to the lives of people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. We are looking for someone with experience in designing, implementing and embedding person-centred assessments and interventions in line with Positive Behaviour Support approaches. Your enthusiasm, drive for quality, excellent communication skills and track record of getting things done are needed. Duties will include:
  • Conducting functional behaviour assessments and analysing data to develop and implement PBS strategies
  • Supporting individuals at risk of exclusion or hospital admission through tailored support
  • Ensuring all assessments are person centred and accurately reflect risks and needs
  • Helping to deliver systems which monitor progress and outcomes
  • Delivering training and coaching to build PBS capacity within a team
  • Working in partnership with individuals, families and professionals
About you

To be a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner at Certitude, the following are essential:

  • Hold a formal qualification in Positive Behaviour Support or related discipline.
  • Sound understanding of the needs of individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs.
  • Proven experience conducting functional behaviour assessments and implementing PBS strategies.
  • Competence in data analysis to inform behaviour support planning and monitor quality-of-life outcomes.
  • Ability to build and maintain respectful, trust-based relationships with individuals and families.
