About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to play a key role within the Transformation team, driving the successful delivery of strategic initiatives across the organisation. In this role, you will oversee the project governance, prioritisation, and execution of projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and optimal resource allocation. The ideal candidate will understand project management practices, bring exceptional communication skills, and a strategic mindset to foster collaboration across teams, mitigate risks, and promote continuous improvement
What you'll do
Responsible for the governance and effective control of the portfolio of IAG Cargo projects, ensuring best practice project management leads to the delivery of on time,on budget and sustainable transformation
• Maintain oversight of the transformation office resource and allocate project management resource as and where required
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels
• Proactively manage upwards ensuring risks are flagged and timely recommendations are put in place with required levels of ownership and buy in from business stakeholders
• Review project progress and proactively address issues as they arise, challenging the status quo to better business performance
• Ensure the full IAG Cargo portfolio of change is tracked, prioritised and aligned to protect the quality and pace of transformation
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify opportunities, interdependencies, gaps, risks and issues
• Provide interim and additional project management support at early or critical phases of key initiatives where required. Provide advice to project managers to get project structures and resources in place for full delivery.
• Provide support to the Cargo Executive Team as and when required
• Provide ongoing Transformation Office support, for example maintaining portfolio roadmaps, project reports, risk overview documents and ensuring business areas are aware
• Present regular portfolio updates to Cargo Executive Team
• Ensure the IAG Cargo change portfolio is prioritised effectively and adapts to changes in the business operating environment
• Proactively identify interdependencies between projects by collaborating across the IAG Cargo community to protect the quality of delivery
• Identify and highlight gaps in capacity/capability and work with senior leaders to implement solutions
• Scope, shape and define new initiatives and support all relevant stakeholders at project inception stage
• Provide ongoing project management support and act as an interim project manager at critical phases of key initiatives if/when required

What you'll bring to IAG Cargo:
• Experience of working with multiple stakeholders from different business areas and range of seniority levels
• Experience of consolidating information and creating written communications for senior management Expertise
• Knowledge of project and change management lifecycle, processes and techniques
• Proven and demonstratable experience of desktop products including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Skills and Experience:
• Excellent organisation, planning and prioritisation skills, and ability to deliver to deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to develop and manage effective stakeholder relationships to senior levels & cross-functionally
• Able to interpret large data sets and provide high-level summaries of key information
• Effective challenging & influencing skills, with an ability to manage upwards
• Strong communication skills, both verbal & written
• Thorough, strong eye for detail
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work with a high level of change and uncertainty
• Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual Qualifications
• Educated to a graduate level or equivalent Experience
