Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Porter/Driver within our Hotel Services Department based at University Hospital Crosshouse. This post is offered on a permanent basis.

Hours

2-week rota, 36hrs per week Monday-Friday.

  • Week 1 - 6.30-2.30pm - with a 1 hour reduced working day per week
  • Week 2 - 2.30-10.30pm - with a 1 hour reduced working day per week
UK Driving Licence

A UK driving licence is essential for this role.

What you will do

The post covers all general Portering duties included in the attached job description. This post is predominately working on the radio prioritising and assigning jobs which will be received by electronic, telephone and verbal communication. A level of IT skills, or similar experience is desirable.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required for this post

Applicants should be physically fit. Previous experience in a similar role will be an advantage, however full training will be provided. Compulsory that any new staff recruited to NHS Ayrshire and Arran complete Corporate Induction.

NHS Ayrshire & Arran may be able to offer visa sponsorship for certain roles, provided the post meets the minimum salary threshold and any other required criteria. When considering if a post meets the salary threshold for sponsorship, the salary advertised is based on a full-time contract and must be pro-rated for part-time positions. Sponsorship is not guaranteed and is assessed on a case-by case basis following interview and at the commencement of pre-employment checks.
