The role is within the Council's Planning Policy team, part of the Place, Planning & Growth directorate. It involves preparing, monitoring and reviewing planning policy across the district, conducting research and analysis, supporting consultation and public engagement, collaborating with infrastructure providers, neighbouring authorities, and Essex County Council on strategic planning matters, aiding Parish Councils with neighbourhood plans, managing Section 106 agreements, undertaking monitoring activities and producing the Authority Monitoring Report (AMR), and working closely with Development Management colleagues on development proposals.
We are looking to expand our team by recruiting a Policy Planner and a Senior Policy Planner. These roles offer an opportunity to further develop planning policy knowledge and skills in communication, project management, analysis and report writing, and to contribute to high-profile projects shaping the future growth of Maldon District.
