Policy Lead - Cyber Guidance Development (Public Sector Client)

We are seeking an experienced Policy Lead to support a public sector client on a contract basis. The successful candidate will lead the development of a suite of cyber-related guidance documents, ensuring they are clear, compliant, and fit for publication.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on drafting and refining policy guidance within the cyber domain.
• Critically review existing documentation to identify required updates and areas for improvement.
• Develop and manage a delivery plan, ensuring deadlines and governance milestones are met.
• Engage and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including legal advisors and technical experts.
• Produce high-quality written outputs suitable for external publication and use by regulated organisations.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in policy development, guidance drafting, or regulatory documentation.
• Strong project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written communication skills with attention to accuracy, tone, and accessibility.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and coordination capabilities across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment when managing complex information.

Desirable

• Understanding of cybersecurity policy, regulation, or governance frameworks.
• Prior experience working within the UK public sector or a regulated environment.
