Our PM manager role model is the structural basis for PM manager training and development. In order to fully fulfil the function of a PM leader, a total of six key roles must be taken on. In our PM1 Leader Camp, we first work our way through the individual roles and the associated responsibilities and tasks. In the next step, we introduce concrete methods and tools to master these tasks. You will then immediately reflect on their application, alone, with peers and in plenary, and share valuable experiences. At the end, you will bring all the results into an initial roadmap for optimising your PM organisation and further developing your own role. This means that every PM manager immediately takes concrete work results back into their practice.

Our face to face training for product management managers comprises 3 days and two group networking dinners.

Day 1 The Product and Product Portfolio Manager roles On the first day, we convey the basic understanding of the product manager role as an important basis for being able to manage this area:

In the next step, you will familiarise yourself with the role of the Product Portfolio Manager, in which the PM manager is typically responsible for the entire product portfolio, strategically controlling and managing it:

Day 2 The roles of organisational developer and ambassador In the role of organisational developer, you will learn how to put the operating system of your product management organisation to the test and how to further develop or restructure your organisation:

In the role of ambassador, as PM manager you ensure the effective positioning and acceptance of product management within the company. In the training course, we will provide you with the tools that will lead you to success in this role:

Day 3 The roles of organiser, administrator and team leader As a PM manager, you also have a number of organisational and administrative tasks to deal with. You will familiarise yourself with these on the third day of training:

We also look at the most important aspects of your role as a manager:

• Leadership and motivation
• Job tailoring
• Performance management

At the end of the day, you will analyse your own situation as a PM manager and draw up a development plan.

Evenings Networking Dinner At our daily networking dinners, you have the opportunity to socialize in a relaxed atmosphere, have interesting conversations with your peers and get to know potential mentors in person. You will experience networking and exchange in our unique and informal PM1 community.
