Job Title: PLC Service Engineer
Location: Beccles
Salary: 45k-55k

We are excited to offer a career opportunity with a leading business in the automated packaging machinery sector for a Service Support Engineer.

Role Overview:

As a Service Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting service operations for highly technical packaging machinery. This position is a fantastic opportunity to build strong relationships with customers, resolve complex technical issues, and continuously grow your engineering expertise.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert technical support to customers and field engineers across the UK and globally

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot faults on packaging machines (both mechanical and control system-based)

  • Maintain technical documentation and support training activities for customers and internal teams

Required Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills in a technical/mechanical engineering setting

  • Good understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems

  • Confident communication skills with a customer-centric approach

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with PLCs (especially Allen-Bradley)

  • Exposure to servo drives and motion control systems

  • Technical report writing and documentation

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a technical support or field engineering role

  • Experience within the packaging, automation, or machinery industry preferred
