Job Description

Plant Operative

Contract - Permanent

Location: Harlow

Hours: Monday Friday, shift pattern 06 30 & 1 00 alternate weekly; occasional Saturday mornings are required and paid as overtime.

Basic Salary: £30,000+ for 40 hours; overtime for any extra hours.

Responsibilities

Key member of a two man production team, working alongside the Assistant Supervisor to manage daily production tasks
Vehicle loading and unloading, and material reception within a busy factory
Operate counterbalanced forklift truck and mobile plant to assist in manufacturing operations
Load raw materials within the factory
Carry out quality assurance testing on finished product in a laboratory environment
Assist in factory maintenance operations
Prepare silo equipment ready for dispatch to customer's site

Qualifications and Skills

Valid FLT licence
Shovel in house licence advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Full driving licence essential
Well organised approach and willingness to excel
