Plant Manager / Site Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Plant Manager / Site Manager / Operations Director to lead a 60 person manufacturing unit within a 6,000 person multinational operating in medical device, chemical engineering, electronics, and aerospace sectors. The role is based near Kirkcaldy (Kirkcaldy / Glenrothes region) and is open to candidates from Dundee, Dunfermline, Edinburgh, Perth, Falkirk, Glasgow, Cumbernauld, Livingston. One day per week work from home is possible.

Salary: £105,000 - £115,000 + 10% bonus + 8% pension (total earnings typically exceed £120,000).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a complex, 24/7 precision engineering manufacturing operation.
• Take full site accountability for production, engineering, supply chain, logistics, quality, HSE performance.
• Drive continuous improvement and implement Lean / Six Sigma initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with highly regulated standards (clean rooms, medical devices, etc.).
• Manage a 60 person team and drive performance results.

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong background in a regulated manufacturing industry (medical, chemical, electronics, aerospace, oil & gas, semiconductor, etc.).
• Demonstrated leadership experience in complex, high quality manufacturing environments.
• Track record of Lean / CI; Six Sigma certification desirable.
• Experience working in a regulated, clean room environment is beneficial.
• Proximity to Kirkcaldy - within 1 hour travel time.
