Location: Ansell Garden Centre, West Drayton, Middlesex (near Heathrow)

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Type: Full-time, Permanent

What You'll Do:

Oversee the plant area, ensuring a stunning, well-maintained display of bedding plants, shrubs, trees, and seasonal stock

Lead and train a team of plant area staff, fostering a positive and knowledgeable team culture

Provide expert advice to customers, helping beginners and seasoned gardeners choose the perfect plants

Manage stock levels, from ordering to merchandising, to ensure quality, variety, and availability

Implement creative displays and seasonal promotions to drive sales and enhance the customer experience

Monitor plant health, ensuring proper care, watering, and pest control to maintain top standards

Collaborate with other department managers to meet sales targets and contribute to business goals

Uphold health and safety standards in the plant area for staff and customers

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in horticulture or garden centre retail, with strong plant knowledge

Leadership skills to motivate and manage a team

Excellent customer service skills, with a passion for helping gardeners of all levels

Commercial awareness to manage stock, boost sales, and meet targets

Organisational skills to keep the plant area tidy, safe, and visually appealing

Familiarity with sustainable gardening practices (a bonus!)

Ability to work flexibly, including weekends, in a fast paced environment
