Job Description

Grade: RCS N grade Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Shift patterns: Monday to Friday (40 hours per week). Shifts will be worked between 07:00 and 23:00 - flexibility is essential to meet business needs. Location: Daventry, CV23 8BQ Think you know DHL? Think again! We're not just about delivering parcels. We're now looking for a Planning & Training First Line Manager to lead our operations and drive success. If you're a proactive leader with a passion for logistics, we want you on our team!

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Develop and maintain operational plans to support customer volumes, priorities, and service requirements.
  • Coordinate and deliver training for new starters, existing colleagues, and FLMs in line with site operational standards.
  • Maintain training matrices and ensure compliance with mandatory, customer specific, and MHE training requirements.
  • Review operational performance and resource requirements to ensure adequate labour planning and skills coverage.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through coaching, development, and best practice implementation.
  • Ensure Safety: Uphold the highest safety standards and compliance regulations, creating a safe and secure workplace for everyone.
  • Foster Collaboration: Build a strong team culture that values communication, accountability and teamwork. Together, we'll achieve great results!
THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
  • Have experience in merchandising.
  • Have experience in planning and training.
  • Have proven management or leadership experience.
  • Have strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Have strong operational knowledge of logistics and warehousing.
  • Have a strategic mindset and a passion for problem solving.
  • You're a natural leader with excellent communication skills, able to inspire and engage your team.
