Our client is a leading multinational engineering services provider and general contractor who specializes in mission critical turnkey solutions. Employing over 750 professionals and delivering leading-edge construction solutions across a range of key sectors including Data Centres, Healthcare, Life Sciences and Technology, Fire protection, Building Services, and Technical Support Services. They are currently looking for Planners to join them on a construction project in Didcot, UK.
Responsibilities- Responsible for all aspects of planning, as defined by the Planning SOP.
- Reporting to Planning Department.
- Reporting to Business Unit / Project Management.
- Developing and maintaining schedules for pre construction / construction / commissioning.
- Developing and maintaining progress databases.
- Milestone projections, delay / float path analysis.
- Earned Value Management systems.
- Monitoring schedule performance and productivity.
- Auditing progress on site.
- Attending schedule meetings, liaising with client and subcontractors.
- Preparation of tender schedules and histograms.
- Supporting weekly workface planning systems.
- Resource / cash loading of schedules.
- Providing data for payment applications.
- Completing contract review reports.
- Responsibility for quality and accuracy of schedules and reports.
- Making relevant parties aware of issues and advising on solutions.
- Recording delay and disruption.
- Assisting in the preparation of claims and providing data for contractual disputes.
- Travelling to projects to carry out the above, if required.
- Training staff, if required.
- Covering Senior Project Planner responsibilities when required.
- Exceptional Problem Solving capabilities.
- 5 years experience in a similar role.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent IT Skills - High Competency in MS Excel is required.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
