An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Town Planner to join a highly regarded planning consultancy based in Central London. This firm works across a diverse range of projects including residential, commercial, mixed-use, and regeneration schemes, offering exposure to some of the most high-profile developments in the capital and across the UK.
The successful candidate will join an established team of planning professionals who advise a wide variety of clients, from developers and investors to landowners and local authorities. You'll be part of a collaborative environment that encourages professional development, career progression, and innovative thinking.
The RoleAs a Planner, you'll:
- Manage and assist with a wide range of planning applications, appeals, and development appraisals.
- Contribute to strategic planning advice and policy representations on behalf of clients.
- Liaise with local authorities, external consultants, and key stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes.
- Support senior colleagues on complex and high-value projects while taking responsibility for your own caseload.
- Gain exposure to clients, site work, and committee representation as your role develops.
- MRTPI qualified, or actively working towards chartered status within the next 12 months.
- Experience in a Local Authority planning department (ideally within a London Borough) is essential; any private sector experience would be advantageous but not required.
- A strong understanding of UK planning legislation, policy frameworks, and development management processes.
- Confident communicator with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
