Job Description

FutureGen Recruitment is working with a well-established, medium-sized UK planning consultancy that is entering an exciting period of growth. With multiple offices nationwide and a strong reputation for delivering high-quality planning advice, they are now looking to appoint a Planner or Senior Planner to join their Bristol office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated planner to become part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team working on strategic land and major development projects across the UK.

The Role

The successful candidate will work primarily within the strategic land sector, supporting clients on a wide range of planning matters including:

  • Strategic site promotion
  • Planning applications and appeals
  • Residential-led development (from small schemes to major new settlements)
  • Strategic employment land promotion

You'll be involved throughout the project lifecycle, contributing to high-profile and often complex schemes, while developing your technical and professional capability within a supportive consultancy environment.

About You

This role would suit a Planner or Senior Planner who is ambitious, commercially aware, and keen to progress within a growing consultancy.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience in strategic land promotion and/or complex planning applications
  • Strong report writing and analytical skills
  • The ability to manage workloads and deliver projects to agreed deadlines
  • A genuine interest in developing your planning knowledge and career
  • Planner level: Actively working towards RTPI chartership
  • Candidates from both private consultancy and local authority backgrounds will be considered.
