Pipeline Integrity & Corrosion Engineer

As a Pipeline Integrity & Corrosion Engineer, you'll play a vital role in safeguarding pipeline systems and supporting these critical energy initiatives. This position is a blend of hands-on engineering and strategic oversight, with you as the go-to expert for integrity and corrosion risk management across onshore pipelines and process pipework.

Your Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the Pipeline Integrity Management System to maintain safety and operational efficiency.
• Assess inspection findings and take proactive steps to ensure our pipelines are fit for purpose.
• Be the day-to-day resource for pipeline operations, advising on pigging requirements and supporting field teams.
• Provide critical engineering insights during project design and help steer projects with your technical expertise.
• Act as the primary responder for any pipeline-related emergencies, including coordinating with insurance on recovery strategies.
• Partner with engineering contractors, vendors, and industry networks, staying aligned with industry standards and HSE guidelines.
• Develop and refine our corrosion prevention strategy, working with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
• Create, monitor, and report on KPIs that demonstrate the integrity and performance of our pipeline systems.
• Conduct regular site visits to stay in sync with operations and maintenance teams, coordinating vendor activities on-site.
• Take the lead in tendering and selecting service providers, ensuring contract compliance and quality delivery.
• Help shape Maximo maintenance routines, focusing on pipeline, corrosion, and pipework upkeep.
• Serve as the Technical Authority for pipeline and corrosion matters, upholding performance standards across the board.

Your Qualifications:

• BSc or MSc in Mechanical or Pipeline Engineering and a strong background in Oil & Gas pipeline operations and maintenance.
• You'll need fluency in both Dutch and English to thrive in this role.
• Experience with pipeline risk assessment and management practices.
• Knowledge of Dutch regulations such as Bevb, NTA8000, and NEN3650 for pipeline integrity.
• Strong understanding of onshore and/or offshore oil and gas production processes.
• Experience with specifying pipeline inspections, such as intelligent pigging.
• Preferred proficiency in CMMS and standard office tools like Word and Excel.
• Based in the Netherlands.
