Pipefitter / Maintenance Engineer

Location: Central Birmingham
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Early & Late shifts - No Nights)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are currently recruiting for a Pipefitter / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a large, static commercial site in Central Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mechanical engineer looking for long-term stability, a continental shift pattern, and no night work.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across a busy commercial building, with a strong focus on pipework systems, heating, and general building services.

• Mechanical planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Reactive maintenance and fault finding
• Pipefitting, pipework repairs and modifications
• Maintenance of heating systems, pumps, valves and associated plant
• Supporting general building services maintenance
• Ensuring all works are carried out in line with health & safety and compliance standards
• Accurate completion of job sheets and reports via CAFM system

• Qualified Pipefitter or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent)
• Proven experience within commercial building services or facilities maintenance
• Strong knowledge of mechanical plant and pipework systems
• Experience working on static commercial or industrial sites preferred
• Reliable, proactive and able to work independently on shift

• £40,000 annual salary
