Job Description
Job Title: Physiotherapist
Location: Newcastle/Hybrid Working
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum (pro rata if part time)
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time or Part Time- 30 hours or 37.5 hours between Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.
Right to live & work within the UK is required for this role.
Role Summary:
To provide a leading Occupational Health Physiotherapy Service to clients with the aim of early return to work. This involves a positive bio-psychosocial approach combining functional assessment with evidence-based treatment which is underpinned with excellent clinical care. The role will provide the following services on a remote basis; triage phone calls, supported self-management, functional restoration programmes, DSE & Workplace assessments.
The post holder must be able to cover on-site working twice per week, working 1pm-9pm. Other working days will be fully remote working 9am-5pm. Ideally the post holder will be located in or around the Newcastle and Sunderland area, but applicants living within the North East, with the right experience will be considered
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide accurate, detailed, and appropriate assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to employees on a remote or face-to-face basis.
Identify, assess, and advise on any workplace hazards or contributing factors to Musculoskeletal disorders.
Conduct workplace assessments such as DSE or work-based tasks as and when required and provide advice and recommendations as appropriate.
Always maintain clinical objectivity and impartiality in line with occupational health guidance.
Deliver effective evidence-based rehabilitation that adheres to national clinical standards.
Utilise a bio-psychosocial approach combined with functional assessment to address barriers to work and inform robust work recommendations.
Experience, Skills, and Knowledge Required for the Role:
Clinical Physiotherapy Qualification.
Full Member of the CSP & Registered member of HCPC is essential.
Post-graduate training in Occupational Health/Ergonomics.
Previous experience or an interest in Occupational Health Physiotherapy.
Experience of providing functional assessment and fitness for work advice.
Driver license & access to a vehicle.
