An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Acute Medical / A&E Team in Dumfries & Galloway.

This is an ongoing locum position paying £33 - £34 per hour, offering both part-time and full-time flexibility. You will be working across the Acute Medical Unit, Emergency Department, and downstream wards, supporting services during critical winter pressures and helping maintain patient flow and high-quality care.

What You Will Do
  • Provide high-quality physiotherapy assessments and treatments to patients in the Acute Medical Unit, Emergency Department, and other wards as required.

  • Support safe and timely discharge planning to promote patient flow and reduce length of stay.

  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, patient-centred care.

  • Manage a varied and fast-paced caseload across acute settings.

  • Participate in weekend working as required to meet service needs.

  • Contribute to maintaining high standards of care, particularly during the challenging winter pressures period.

What We're Looking ForEssential
  • Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy.

  • HCPC registration.

  • Experience working at Band 6 level in an acute hospital setting (or strong Band 5 with relevant experience).

  • Strong skills in
